Boundary conditions
Verb
It is used in developing and solving differential equations that apply to well testing and in specifying a model that matches pressure transient data.
Example: The mathematical expres-sions of the thermal conditions at the boundaries are called the boundary conditions.

Constant conductivity
verb
k: the k factor is known as the thermal conductivity constant. This constant is higher for materials with good heat transfer (such as metal and stone) and small for those that are poor transmitters (such as air and wood).
Example: The conductivity constant is used in various problems

Cylindrical Coordinates

The cylindrical coordinate system is very convenient in those cases in which problems that have cylindrical or azimuthal symmetry are dealt with. It is a three-dimensional version of the polar coordinates of plane analytic geometry.
Example: The general heat conduction equation in cylindrical coordinates can be ob-tained from an energy balance on a volume element in cylindrical coordinates,

Emissivity

Emissivity, formerly called emittance, is the proportion of thermal radiation emitted by a surface or object due to its temperature.
Example: the emesivity emitted by the device is very large

Energy

Energy is the ability of bodies to do work and produce changes in themselves or in other bodies.
Example: Solar energy in large bodies of water can be treated as heat generation.

Energy balance
Verb
An energy balance is an accounting of the contributions and energy consumption by a system to be studied.
Example: To carry out the following equation, an energy balance is necessary.

Exothermic reaction

An exothermic reaction is called any chemical reaction that gives off energy, either as light or heat, or what is the same: with a negative variation of enthalpy
Example: Another source of heat generation in a medium is exothermic chemical reactions.

Heat conduction equation
Verb
Heat conduction in a medium is said to be stable when the temperature does not vary with time and does not constant or transient when it does. The heat conduction equation can be derived by performing an energy balance on a differential volume element.
Example: The heat conduction equation can be derived by performing an energy balance on a differential volume element.

Heat flux

Heat flux is the measure of energy transfer, which is caused by a temperature difference and leads to temperature equilibrium between substances.
Example: Fourier's law is an important application for heat flux.

Insulation

Thermal insulation is the set of materials and installation techniques that are applied in the construction elements that separate a heated space from the outside or from other spaces to reduce the transmission of heat between them
Example: In this case we will use insulation for the roof

Internal energy

It is a reflection of the energy on a macroscopic scale. More specifically, it is the sum of the internal kinetic energy, that is, of the sums of the kinetic energies of the individualities that form a body with respect to the center of mass of the system.
Example: the total change in internal energy is equal to the sum of the amounts of energy communicated to the system in the form of heat and work

Thermal conductivity

Thermal conductivity is a physical property of materials that measures heat conduction capacity. In other words, thermal conductivity is also the ability of a substance to transfer the kinetic energy of its molecules to adjacent molecules or to substances with which it is in contact.

Thermal diffusivity

Thermal diffusivity, in heat transfer problems, is the value obtained by dividing the thermal conductivity of a certain material divided by the product of its density value and its specific heat capacity.
Example: Thermal diffusivity measures the rate at which temperature changes within a substance.
